Harvesting tea leaves

1. Harvesting tea leaves

From the end of April to the beginning of May, tea leaves and stems (which will be the first-picked tea) are harvested. .

2. Steaming the harvested tea leaves and stems

The tea leaves and stems that were just harvested are steamed. Steaming them prevents them from fermenting.

 3. Cooling down the steamed tea leaves and stems

The steamed tea leaves and stems are cooled down on a tea chiller.

4. Rolling: Primary process of drying and rolling

The tea leaves and stems are rolled while they are blown with hot air. In this process, moisture is gradually blown out.

5. Rolling: Crumpling up the tea leaves and stems

The tea leaves and stems are pushed downwards and rolled. This helps squeeze out the liquid in them.
